Testing the New XF90mm f/2 Prime Lens

I bought a 90mm prime lens used from MPB. How did I do?

Last week I traded a Fujifilm XC15-45mm f/3.5–5.6 zoom lens and XF35mm f/2 prime lens for a used XF90mm f/2 prime. I’ve written previously about how terrible the zoom is, but the XF35mm is very much NOT terrible. Like other Fujifilm XF primes, it’s quite nice. I simply didn’t like shooting with it and I felt 90mm would better complement my outfit.

This was my first experience working with MPB. They were very easy to work with, gave me what I felt was a reasonable trade-in allowance, and turned the transaction around very fast. It was seven days from the time I requested the quote to when I had the new lens in hand.

I haven’t had a chance to go shoot with it “for real” yet, but I did do a few quick test shots and everything seems to be in order. I’m certain I’ll get some use from it next weekend.
